TKAM Essay continued

Objectives:
Students will apply their knowledge of Chrome, Googledocs, turnitin.com and writing while typing up their rough drafts of their TKAM essays.

Agenda:
-Lit circle book choices
-College prep type body paragraph #2 draft of TKAM essays using Chromebooks.
-Honors type body paragraph #2 and body paragraph #3 on a real life person from the supplemental articles

Homework:
All: Finish typing the body paragraphs only, we will create and type the introduction and conclusion paragraphs tomorrow.

Essay writing continued, type Scout paragraph (first body paragraph) on Google Classroom

Objectives:
-Dissect writing prompt, identifying writing tasks in a “do/what” chart
-Generate possible text evidence to be used in essay via a brainstorming activity
-Select best evidence and develop appropriate analysis on teacher-provided evidence collector

Agenda:
-Write Scout paragraph together as a class
-Continue to work on Evidence Collector worksheet for second TKAM character/second body paragraph, putting evidence and possible analysis directly on the page. College Prep students get the Evidence collector stamped by the end of class today.
-Honors students discuss supplemental articles with Mrs. Capen
-Begin typing essay rough drafts, body paragraphs only on Google Classroom
