Peer edit and format essays

Objectives:
Reflect on essays by peer editing and revising

Agenda:
-Format essays, see Google Classroom stream attachment MLA format guide
-Peer edit typed rough drafts
-Have two different peers read and edit your essay with the Peer edit worksheet
-Revise your essays after the peer edit, deleting all highlights and underlines made by your peer editors, the final draft should be clean and perfect.

Homework:

-Revise essays, making them perfect.
-Print out a hard copy of the final draft of your essay to be turned in tomorrow at the beginning of class along with the checklist for the essay, prompt, brainstorm/evidence collector, peer edit worksheet, and rubric (The rubric will be handed to you tomorrow).

-Students should complete Step 5 today in the yellow essay packet Essay Template.  This is considered your written rough draft.  Please get an initial from your substitute today, Coach Watkins, after you have completed it/before you leave class today.  If you don’t get Coach Watkins initials then you do not receive credit for working today in class.
