Objectives for Thursday August 20, 2015 
Participate in a team building activity through setting up TKAM appointment clocks
Formulate a visual representation of the character Boo Radley based on a close reading of a description of him in TKAM.

Agenda for Thursday August 20, 2015 
Bell work:  Bring out Diction and Detail worksheet to be stamped by TAs
Set up new appointment clocks with TKAM clocks
Read page 10 aloud.  Have students illustrate Boo Radley.  
Begin reading Chapter 2


Homework for Thursday August 20, 2015 
1.  Remind your parents that it is curriculum night tonight
2.  CP and H:  Finish reading Ch 2
**Log on to Google classroom and view the screencast on the Great Depression.  Take notes entitled “Screencast notes”
**After viewing the screencast, answer the questions with evidence for your answers:  
1.     What do you now know about the Great Depression?
2.     Maycomb is a town living through the Great Depression. How do you think the effects of the depression affected how Maycombians viewed/perceived the world? Find two pieces of evidence that illustrate Maycomb’s struggles with tough times to back up your answer.


Bell work for Thursday August 20, 2015 

Bring out Diction and Detail worksheet to be stamped by TAs.  Re-read your homework responses and decide which ONE of your responses you liked best.  Put a star next to the ONE response, then share that response with your table group members.
